Summary

What the public boss footage teaches: phases, adds, resource pressure, and when to stop attacking.

Expect phase rules

Public previews describe bosses that change behavior across phases. The puppet master demo boss shifts style in phase two, while the Drunken Sword boss becomes erratic after building drunken energy.

Adds are not background noise

The puppet master encounter rewards killing some soldiers separately because they can be used to restore the boss’s health. If a boss has helpers, check whether they are damage pressure, healing fuel, or phase triggers.

Resource pressure matters

If blocking drains too much Sha-chi, do not turtle. Learn which attacks are parry checks and which are dodge checks; Ghoststep-style rewards turn correct defense into offense.

Unknowns

No final boss order, full move list, or loot table is public. Treat this as a pre-release strategy framework, not a finished boss guide.

  • Source and build: official trailer, hands-on demo, or final release version.
  • Phase trigger: health threshold, add cleanup, arena event, or story trigger.
  • Defensive answer: block-safe strings, parry checks, dodge-only attacks, and punish windows.
  • Reward: weapon, signature technique, exploration tool, material, or story progress.
  • Confidence: confirmed, demo-only, or inferred from footage.

How to study a boss clip

Pause at each color cue and ask what the player did immediately before the punish. If the clip cuts away before the result, do not record it as a confirmed counter. For multi-enemy bosses, also track whether the boss becomes safer or more dangerous when helpers are alive.
